TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Friday: Check ins, warm up with your partner, get familiar with the courts and club (not required but we'd love to see you there)
Saturday & Sunday: Games from morning to evening (required to attend for all players)

Total number of players: 90
Match format:
Pool play - Top 2 qualify for playoffs/Finals round
Two sets, tiebreak if 1-1; tiebreak to 7 points(if 6-6, win by 2 max to 11)
Golden point(no deuce)
Games won will be used for tie breaker in the pools
No on-court referees – players self-ref, overseen by a floating Head of Referees between courts
Men's A Grade
16 Teams: Pool Play - 4 pools of 4 - Teams play 3 games in their pool - Best 2 in each pool qualify for Quarter Finals
Men's B Grade
16 Teams: Pool Play - 4 pools of 4 - Teams play 3 games in their pool - Best 2 in each pool qualify for Quarter Finals
Women's A Grade
8 Teams: Pool Play - 2 pools of 4 - Teams play 3 games in their pool - Best 2 in each pool qualify for Semi Finals
Women's B Grade
5 Teams: Round Robin - Teams play 4 games to determine rankings then play Final 1st vs 2nd. 3rd vs 4th will be the 3rd place final
RANKING POINTS
All Padel New Zealand’s tournaments will have Ranking Points.
Points will be awarded at each tournament based on match results.
Rankings will be updated on our website after each event.

REFEREEING
Tournament will be managed without referees involved in each game.
There will be a Head of Referees appointed by Padel New Zealand who will work together with the Event Organiser to ensure that players are able to referee their own games.
